Beer & Pool Bars
Whether your preference in bars is small, large, quiet or noisy, there is no shortage of establishments in Bangkok where you can sip on a refreshing cold beer. If you haven’t tried one before, visit one of the many traditional Thai bars where excellent entertainment can often be found. There are various types of bars in Bangkok with one thing in common; they are all very cheap. A beer or a drink costs between 60 and 100 baht. There are many great bars that you may not find without visiting BKK Town website.
After Work
In Bangkok we meet up after work or on the weekend to have a beer or a drink together. We all have our own favorite bar where we meet and make up our plans for the weekend or some special night. It's not always on the main roads where you find the best bars. Some are well hidden and it may take some research to find them. On BKK Town website you can find many of these and we make it easy to get to them by providing a link to a map.
Pool Bars
Most of the bars, including the smaller ones, have one or two pool table. This "Friendly Open Tables" scenario exists in almost any pool hall, bar or sports bar in Bangkok. Simply write your name on a board and wait for your turn. You play the winner and if you lose you pay the table fee which is usually around 20 Baht. If you win you play the next person on the board and that person pays the 20 baht. Just make sure you update yourself on the local rules!
Go-Go Bars
Bangkok is well known for its night entertainment bars which you will find in their specific zoned area. The most well known are in the Patpong (Night market), Nana (Nana Plaza) and Asoke (Soi Cowboy) areas. All of these are in close proximity to both BTS and MRT stations
The drinks might cost you a little bit more here but generally it’s only 20-30 Baht. Most people would agree that it is value for money. The Go-Go bars open around 8 pm and close around 1 am.
